Rosemary Frances Winchester passed away at her home in Kenilworth on 11th September 2024 at the age of 69. She had suffered with metastatic pancreatic cancer after having been diagnosed in December 2023. She was with her immediate family at the time of her passing, during which she was comfortable and pain-free. Many different teams supported Rosemary and her family during this time, including the wonderful nurses and carers from the Shakespeare Hospice.
Rosemary (or Rose) had such an immense positive impact on those around her throughout her life. She was a hugely kind and caring individual, working as a nurse and then as a dinner-lady at the school her children attended. Her family was the most important aspect to Rosemary's life and they will be eternally grateful for the wonderful experiences they shared with her. Her love of animals and nature was also highly inspiring with her caring for a variety of different animals during her life, including rescue animals. Many people only met Rosemary a few times but they would always come away appreciating her warmth, friendly nature and selflessness.
We all feel lucky to have been a part of Rosemary's life and will never forget her. In memory of Rosemary, we'd be grateful if you could make a donation to the Shakespeare Hospice who supported Rosemary during those last few days. The care they provided to Rosemary was outstanding and showed a level of kindness that was wonderful to see. Donations help them to care for the most vulnerable patients at the Hospice and at home, while also supporting their relatives and loved ones.
